What
is Young BPW?
Young BPW (formerly YCW or Young Career Women)
is the young arm of BPW International. We encourage young
women to play an active part in BPW around the world.
BPW International offers us the opportunity to learn about
and take part in this organization, as we will one day
be the leaders of BPW International. We are modernizing
networking by using e-mail and coumputers. This works
differently in each country. In some countries, Young
BPW works very closely with mainstream BPW (as in Canada
and Australia), but in other countries, it has been necessary
to establish special Young BPW clubs (based on the club's
constitutions).
The age range of Young BPW members is between 21 and 35.
On reaching 35, members transfer from Young BPW to mainstream
BPW, but they can still work with Young BPW as consultants.
Any BPW member under 35 is a Young BPW member. They are
welcome to write for the Newsletter and be part of our
network.

This is an added benefit for younger members of BPW.
Since the 1985 Congress in New Zealand,
Young BPW has had its own workshops at
congresses. We work on the main
sessions, and arrange to meet for a few
hours to get to know each other and to
work on Young BPW topics.
At the end of the congress, we present
our proposals to the plenary.
Here are some FAQs
about Young BPW.
